Why an EL-FuelPump?
In many models, fuel pressure varies depending on flight attitude or tank position. This can lead to rough engine operation, leaning, or engine cutouts.
The EL-FuelPump solves this problem:
- constant fuel pressure directly at the carburetor
- smooth engine operation in all flight attitudes
- automatic adaptation to fuel consumption
Operating Principle
The EL-FuelPump is installed in a ring line at the fuel tank.
The center port is connected to the carburetor.
- The pump maintains the selected pressure constantly
- Pressure is adjustable between 60 and 200 mbar
- Factory setting: 100 mbar
Regulation is fully electronic and highly precise, ensuring the engine is always supplied with the optimal amount of fuel.
Installation – Mechanical
- Installation as close to the tank as possible is recommended
- Two side ports → tank (ring line)
- Center port → carburetor
- Hose connections: 4 mm
Connection – Electrical
The EL-FuelPump is powered directly from the receiver.
Connections:

- Supply voltage: 6–9 V
- Switching channel for pump ON/OFF
BUS connections (2× internally connected 1:1):
- for telemetry or additional power supply
LED connection (optional):
- external status LED (indicates pump status)
Transmitter Settings (Important)
The pump is controlled via a switching channel.
Recommended settings:
- Servo travel: ±100%
- OFF: –100% (approx. 1000 µs)
- ON: +100% (approx. 2000 µs)
- Ideal: 2-position switch
Safety function:
The pump can only be activated if a valid OFF position is detected at startup.

Telemetry
The EL-FuelPump can be fully monitored and configured via telemetry.

- Fuel pressure
- Pump status (plain text with PowerBox, 1/0 with Jeti)
Pressure adjustment:
The desired pressure value can be conveniently set directly via the transmitter.

Undervoltage Protection
If the supply voltage drops below 5.2 V, the EL-FuelPump reacts automatically:
- Pump output is reduced
- Pressure setpoint is lowered to 50 mbar
- Undervoltage warning via telemetry
This protects the engine and electronics and gives the pilot time to land safely.

This telemetry sensor (for PowerBox P²BUS and Jeti EX-BUS) measures the fuel flow from the tank to the engine or to the turbine and can therefore reliably display the tank level.
Due to the measuring range, the sensor is suitable for combustion engines from approx. 100ccm and turbines up to approx. 200N thrust. The sensor can be automatically set to "full" after refueling via the FuelSwitch (patch cable included).
